4500’ Yancey NC Information ⬇️


Current Condition: some clouds. 


Thursday-Sunday

Thursday rain with temps in 40’s and 50’s for much of ETN/WNC/Upstate SC. 

Friday colder air crashes in in the morning where ETN to the NC border will transition to snow. Afternoon goes on much if WNC looks to see some snow showers even in the valleys. 

Saturday and Sunday early am will be NW Flow Snow for the TN/NC Border. 


Accumulation will range dramatically especially with elevation. But ETN and WNC High Country chances for accumulation looks good. And some places above 4K in favorable NW Flow spots this could become a big event. We get to tomorrow and models still onto this like it has been confidence will grow even higher. Ski resorts will have no issue making snow on top of receiving natural snow. 

These totals will possibly change!

Border areas 4-8” ( Favorable locations Ft possible) Above 4000’. 

ETN valleys 1-3”. Below 3000’ 

ETN Tri cities  Dusting-2”

WNC Valleys 1-3”. Below 3000’

Rain came in this morning and gave us 0.35” in the rain bucket. That now puts us over a inch for the week. High temperature of 54F with now mostly cloudy skies.
