Warm day today that will change quickly tonight. High today 50F after a low of 34F. Current temperature 43F with winds out of the SE. Overall  a beautiful day.

Now we get to the good stuff that will come shortly after midnight. Winter storm warning for the high country of NC with 5-7 inches and up to 10” especially for the favorable NW Flow locations. Winds will also be gusty 40 - 50 mph in the highest locations will be possible thru out the day tomorrow. Cold air will make its way in and temperatures will plummet through out Saturday. Lows will be in single digits by Sunday morning and windchills will be well below freezing. Also to note DOT will have hard time keeping up because there will be rain before the snow and plummeting temperatures will get to point that it will be extremely hard to keep up on the back roads.

All in all I think some will see more than the anticipated totals which that usually happens with events with a good NW Flow. Appreciate everyone that reads these blogs. Hope everyone has a great rest of there Friday.
