Tuesday:

Starting out in the mid to upper 20’s. 

High Temperature upper 30’s. 

Mostly cloudy with some breaks. 

Winter like day. 


Days Ahead:


Thursday 15th: I think it’s possible for the NW Part of WNC could see some patchy ice accumulation  like on limbs but nothing to worry about as of now. More of a VA event. But for WNC really could be little or none. It’s really hard to predict these Cad events. 


Friday-Sunday: NW Flow snow kicks in for ETN/WNC. Off and on snow showers from Friday mid day and lasting for some til Monday morning. Accumulation of snow will be possible if this trend continues. Will say as of now days away dustings should occur in the high country. But CMC model shows 1-3” along the border. Will have more as we get closer.

​                                   4500’ Yancey NC                                    4:10PM 4/16/2022 Chilly start to the morning with a low of 38F. Rain came in this morning and gave us 0.35” in the rain bucket. That now puts us over a inch for the week. High temperature of 54F with now mostly cloudy skies.
