Want to start off this blog with a appreciation to all of you. Really love sharing this microclimate information but most importantly love interacting with you all. The other night a anonymous person made a very generous contribution to the weather fund. The funds that are given helps tremendously towards new equipment like weather stations/cameras/chasing/and lot more. I want to give as much information accurately as I possibly can especially for the high country areas that get barely any attention at all. Again I truly appreciate you all.

Starting out in the upper 20’s low 30’s. 

High temperature mid 40’s to upper 40’s. 

Possible light showers in afternoon 


WEATHER DISCUSSION:

Let’s dig in to the Tropical Storm Nicole news first. As of 4pm it’s a 65mph moving west 10 mph storm. Will likely strengthen to a weak hurricane in coming hours. Wind I’m not worried about but flooding and storm surge I am worried about especially folks Melbourne FL north up coast to GA/SC coast border. This will spread into WNC and if history shows us anything we can’t take this lightly because these mountains with lift and they just naturally squeeze out also the moisture. 1-5” for WNC as of now. Winds really not too wild but get above 3500’ and the winds will likely be lot higher gust. 

After that let’s say Sunday to Friday next week 11/13-11/18 cold air will spill on us here Sunday and Monday where temps may struggle above freezing Monday. And  can’t rule out flurries. Mid week the temps looks like it can be sufficient enough with possible moisture for a winter event. Some models show snow to upstate. I’m not on board with that but high country above 3500’ it’s something to watch. Pattern looks good Thru out month as well. 

Out of region but the Great Lakes look to get that lake effect machine going as well. I know those folks are excited. For any weather or really anything feel free to tag me or Message me. Love seeing weather pictures/videos and just talking weather.

Rain came in this morning and gave us 0.35” in the rain bucket. That now puts us over a inch for the week. High temperature of 54F with now mostly cloudy skies.
