Want to start off this blog with a appreciation to all of you. Really love sharing this microclimate information but most importantly love interacting with you all. The other night a anonymous person made a very generous contribution to the weather fund. The funds that are given helps tremendously towards new equipment like weather stations/cameras/chasing/and lot more. I want to give as much information accurately as I possibly can especially for the high country areas that get barely any attention at all. Again I truly appreciate you all.

Share/Retweet these blogs are much appreciated. Goal for this blog is to show what a micro climate can do.

Excited to announce NC/TN High Country WX has a store online now. Couple items there now. Will be adding more in the coming days. Money goes weather items and adventures.

WEATHER DISCUSSION:

There’s a storm out in the Atlantic making it’s way towards Florida east coast. It’s not much of anything at the moment. Very disorganized and looks pitiful. Very subtropical like. Not worried about the winds cause they won’t be much of anything that FL can’t handle but the rain and storm surge will be a issue. Up to 5ft of surge in areas that just recently dealt with some flooding. For our area rain chances start Friday. But the cut off will be drastic like usual with tropical systems. East of Charlotte has best bet for several inches of rain and a little wind. Ok for the more exciting stuff. This pattern coming looks good. Still days away and I’m usually the last to start talking more than 5 days away but I been eyeing for potential NW Flow Snow in the high country. Temperatures this weekend will be dropping well below freezing I’m talking teens as possibility for high country NC and highs struggling to get above freezing Monday per models right now. And cold air will spill into the upstate sc region. Will change but wanted to mention this so you are aware. Also looking at Great Lakes the lake effect machine will be cranking this weekend it looks. And next week I’m watching mid week for something that could be a thing but that’s too far. Things will change for all of this possibly but this is my current thinking.
