Rainy morning has turned to a sunny afternoon.  Total rain for month now  3.6”.  High temperature not 55 after morning low of 49F. NW Wind 5-10 mph has made it feel like early fall.  Will chalk. These past few days as a win. 



Tuesday: High low 60’s. Low upper 40’s. Sunny

Wednesday: High mid 60’s. Low temperature low 60’s. Possible late afternoon storm or two. 

Thursday: High upper 60’s. Low temperature mid 50’s. Thunderstorms.

​                                 4500’ Yancey NC                                 3/11/2022 7:00PM Warm day today that will change quickly tonight. High today 50F after a low of 34F. Current temperature 43F with winds out of the SE. Overall  a beautiful day.   Now we get to the good stuff that will come shortly after midnight. Winter storm warning for the high country of NC with 5-7 inches and up to 10” especially for the favorable NW Flow locations. Winds will also be gusty 40 -  50 mph in the highest locations will be possible thru out the day tomorrow. Cold air will make its way in and temperatures will plummet through out Saturday. ​                                   4500’ Yancey NC                                    4:10PM 4/16/2022 Chilly start to the morning with a low of 38F. Rain came in this morning and gave us 0.35” in the rain bucket. That now puts us over a inch for the week. High temperature of 54F with now mostly cloudy skies.
