                              HOT HOT HOT


We are definitely seeing middle of summer temps not just in low elevations or flat land but the high country also. Temperatures thou per models are slightly less than was expected especially days ago where mid 90’s was supposed to be in Johnson city TN area.They reached around 90F today. The Heart of NC looks pretty close to what models projected.  High temperature up here was lil better but still hotter than what we would like with 72F. Low temperature 54F. 10 MPH breeze helps a little. Dew points are upper 50’s and humidity 50 percent. I wouldn’t rule a thunder shower out with this heat Tonight. Rain returns tomorrow with better coverage. Temperatures also cooler. Monday looks to be when we can get closer to normal temp. 


Saturday: High upper 60’s . Low temperature mid 50’s. Showers and thunderstorms. Some could produce hail and gusty winds. 

Sunday: High upper 60’s. Low temperature low 50’s. Thunderstorms are possible.

Looks to be a good chance at some snow in the high country along the border. Early call for those favorable NW Flow Areas could see some accumulation of snow. Really love sharing this microclimate information but most importantly love interacting with you all. The other night a anonymous person made a very generous contribution to the weather fund. The funds that are given helps tremendously towards new equipment like weather stations/cameras/chasing/and lot more. I want to give as much information accurately as I possibly can especially for the high country areas that get barely any attention at all.
