Thursday:  High upper 60’s. Low temperature lower 50’s. Light rain possible late afternoon and night. 

Friday: Rain. High upper 50’s. Low around 50F. Rain. 

Saturday:  High upper 50’s. Low temperature around 50F. Rain with possible thunder showers.

​                                 4500’ Yancey NC                                 3/11/2022 7:00PM Warm day today that will change quickly tonight. High today 50F after a low of 34F. Current temperature 43F with winds out of the SE. Overall  a beautiful day.   Now we get to the good stuff that will come shortly after midnight. Winter storm warning for the high country of NC with 5-7 inches and up to 10” especially for the favorable NW Flow locations. Winds will also be gusty 40 -  50 mph in the highest locations will be possible thru out the day tomorrow. Cold air will make its way in and temperatures will plummet through out Saturday. ​                                   4500’ Yancey NC                                    4:10PM 4/16/2022 Chilly start to the morning with a low of 38F. Rain came in this morning and gave us 0.35” in the rain bucket. That now puts us over a inch for the week. High temperature of 54F with now mostly cloudy skies. Low tonight will get us to around 40F.                                        Sunday  Mainly sunny day with clouds rolling in more in the afternoon. High temperatures around the mid 50’s.
