Hottest day in months. Over half a year since last time we got this hot. 63F the high today. This heat like early summer.  But all this will change quickly. Low this morning was 40F. Winds will shift from south to a NW wind tonight bad front enters the area. Expect thunderstorms tonight and into early morning hours.

                            Thursday thru Sunday

Thursday: cooler and clouds. Maybe a sprinkle or two around. Colder air comes in Thursday night. Highs upper 40’s to low 50’s with low temperatures around freezing.

Friday: moisture moves in with colder air with rain showers below 3500’ and snow showers above 3500’. Mid 30’s to upper 30’s high with lows in mid 20’s to upper 20’s.

Saturday: snow showers likely for valleys and high country. Accumulation will be for elevations above 4000’. Windy. Highs low to mid 30’s with lows mid 20’s.

Sunday: Flurries end by sunrise with clearing out rest of day. Highs around 40 with lows around freezing.

Weekend event will be interesting go it plays out. Here’s my thoughts. Valleys will see flurries and flakes flying at some point. Accumulation of snow will be on border of NC/TN above 4K elevation in the usual favorable locations. Thunder snow a possibility. So if you get under a band of thunder snow you can pick up a quick 1-2”. Sun angle and soil temperatures are not our friend this time of year but if rates strong enough that can overcome those factors. Since this long event especially for April this will be a treat.  We will watch trends and all but confidence growing every day. This will be elevation dependent event as of now.  Appreciate you all. Hope everyone has great rest of there Wednesday!
