Today has been backwards we were warmer this morning than we are now. High today of 49F happened right around 3 am. Once rain moved in after lunch we’ve dropped to 42F. Rainfall amount as of typing is 0.33”. More rain May swing thru late tonight but not all that impressive.

                          Wednesday thru Sunday

Wednesday: will be really mild with highs in the low to mid 60’s. By far hottest day since December freak warmth. Lows mid 40’s. Showers possible.

Thursday: will be pretty quite highs will be low 50’d with lows around freezing.

Friday: highs upper 40’s with lows in mid to upper 20’s. Snow showers likely thru out day. Breezy

Saturday:Highs at or around freezing with lows in the low to mid 20’s. Snow showers likely all day. Accumulation possible only for the high elevations above 3500’ as of now. Windy.

Sunday: Highs mid 40’s with lows around freezing. Mostly sunny.

For weekend system. Accumulation will be in highest elevations. But could see some flakes fly in valleys. Snow will have to be hard to over take the warm ground conditions in valleys. Even high country will need some good rates at some point to create a good layer for good accumulation. Thunder snow possible. This snow will likely be in bands or showers so you may have to be in favorable locations to see any accumulation. This thoughts as of now I am expecting my thoughts to change as week goes on.

If you made it this far reading. Feel free to share this. We need information to help show some that don’t know that NC not just one flat state. Just in WNC alone can be 20-30F different in temperature. 50F or more from high country to the coast. My goal is to help move this mission by helping doing my part doing these blogs. But I’m just a small spec on the map. There’s no news outlet or big media that covers a lot of the high country. But luckily we have a good weather community of smart weather people to help us get good forecast. Always support those local weather people. We need to push these narratives to better our future and our kids future. Weather stations should be on every Mountain possible by now in WNC. Now that I spilled it all out. I hope everyone has great rest of there Tuesday.
