48F the high at midnight and temperatures fell as day went on and current temperature now is 30F. We got some good much needed rainfall 4.1 inches for the week. Really helped having high enough water levels to clean rivers and creeks but not too much to cause anything major. 


This weekend we’re going to have a nice Saturday in the high country where it will be cool buy Saturday night into Sunday the system that could bring some rain and wintry weather. The wintry weather side for NC and TN high country will be elevation event. 3500’ + and I would say 4000’ + for any good accumulation unless your in the far NW corner Boone north where be little colder. Accumulation amounts we will get clearer look at those tomorrow also could bust for some. Temperatures look marginal so it’s a fine line. Once that moves out Sunday mid morning ish it will just be cold til our quick spring like rebound in temperatures for a quite week ahead. Mid 40’s to low 50’s highs and low 30’s at night. Long range it’s 50/50 my opinion with possible colder pattern. Il just leave that up to experts to Figure out and explain. 


Appreciate everyone feedback on this blog. Almost 200 views on the blogs since it started just few days ago. Bare with me I’m not a writer or anything. I want to just share what weather is in high country but also share what I find. There’s still so much unknowns and things we can learn in these microclimates in WNC and ETN high country.

Rain came in this morning and gave us 0.35” in the rain bucket. That now puts us over a inch for the week. High temperature of 54F with now mostly cloudy skies.
