This morning we had to wait til mid morning to get few sprinkles. Been stuck in the clouds today but few breaks in clouds this afternoon into the night. Mostly clear closer to sunset. High was this morning at 49F. But we have fallen to 41F today. Temperatures will fall into 30’s to around freezing by sunrise Friday.                                Friday thru Sunday  Friday: Sun. Wind also today gusty with gust up to 25MPH. Rain will enter area in the morning hrs tomorrow.                             Thursday thru Sunday  Thursday:rain showers for the early part of the day. Highs mid to upper 50’s. Low temperature upper 30’s.  Friday: sunny. Upper 50’s for high. Low temperature around 40F.  Saturday: poss showers around. Highs upper 50’s. Skies opened up a bit so sun poked out some this afternoon. 52F was the high this afternoon with low temperature bro start the day at 40F. Rain today was more than previously thought. But definitely welcomed. Total 0.77” of rainfall.                      Wednesday thru Sunday  Wednesday: Highs upper 50’s to low 60’s. Low temperature around 40F. Today we warmed up to 56F but the clouds and snow pack that we had kept temperatures from rising too much. Few sprinkles possible this afternoon.  Still snow but spotty now on ground.                                      Tuesday thru Sunday  Tuesday: highs upper 50’s with low in upper 40’s. We are now above AVG. Surprising after a lack luster of a December we had. Today low was 21F with a high of 40F. Lot of snow melt today but still several inches on ground. April sun angle eats  snow up even a 16” snow. Tonight will drop to low 30’s.                                 Week Ahead  Monday: Mid To upper 50’s for highs with low mid 40’s. Started today at 21F and warmed up to 25F. Heavy snow showers was the main precipitation all day long. Was few bouts of graupel thou. Winds also got up to 20-25 MPH gust during the real heavy snow showers. At this time flurries still flying. Accumulation of any more snow not likely. Total accumulation 16.1” of snow. Pretty darn good for April if you ask me. This total combined with 4/8/2022 snow. Yesterday total was 6.70” of snow. So today literally gave us almost 10” of snow. ​                                   4500’ Yancey NC                                   3:27PM 4/9/2022 Snow still flying and at times very heavy snowfall rates are happening. Low this morning 21F and we warm up to 25F. Snow will continue to fly until midnight or so. Low tomorrow morning will be in the low 20’s as temp should stay pretty steady. Ok il tell you what you want to know my measurements.Had to drag this out on you.  As of 3pm 12.3” of snow has fell collectively from yesterday and today. On ground 11.5”.  The other 0.80” was the dustings then melted the door accumulated again and so forth. Not expecting too much more but maybe 1-2” if we line up another strong shower or two.                                    ...
