Rainy cool day today with high of 39F. Low temperature this morning 33F. Actually had a snow/sleet l/rain mix this morning with snow trying to accumulate but wasn’t enough to measure. Rain showers will continue tonight as NW Flow pushes in. Total rain today 0.90” as I’m typing. Snow showers will develop over night for some as temperatures fall into the 20’s. Also gusty NW Winds. 


                       Tuesday Thru Thursday 

Tuesday: High around 40F with low temperature in mid to upper20’s. Am Snow showers/flurries. Accumulation around dusting. Gusty winds in am. 

Wednesday: high temperatures upper40’s. Low temperature mid 30’s. sunny.

Thursday: warm high upper 50’s.  Low temperature low to mid 40’s. Sunny. 


May want to cover those plants tonight and tomorrow night if you have started gardening early. I do think wind will keep even valleys frost free but some valleys maybe sheltered enough to have some. And it doesn’t hurt anyways to be on safe side. Snow accumulation around dusting for some I will say 5k but don’t be surprised to see flakes further down in elevation. Winds will blow flurries down these mountains. After this it’s dry and warm. No severe weather thankfully this week. End of month looks colder than avg and we will have to see cause we do get snow in May and can’t even rule out  flurries in June. It’s happened! But we are in roller coaster season so we will have highest temps since last September next week possibly before the cool down. So prepare now for May frost just in case. Really love sharing this microclimate information but most importantly love interacting with you all. The other night a anonymous person made a very generous contribution to the weather fund. The funds that are given helps tremendously towards new equipment like weather stations/cameras/chasing/and lot more. I want to give as much information accurately as I possibly can especially for the high country areas that get barely any attention at all.
